POTATOES WITH MILK
Dice 8 potatoes and put them in a pan with a thick bottom. Pour them over with hot water. Bring to a boil, filter the water, add 1 cup of hot milk, salt and boil until ready. Dress the potatoes with 3 tablespoons of butter, top with chopped greens and serve.
POTATOES WITH GREEN SAUCE
Boil 8 peeled potatoes. Set aside. Make the green sauce: chop parsley, dill, tarragon, celery greens, add 2 cups of yoghurt mixed with ½ cup of sour cream or mayonnaise, add 4 grated boiled eggs. Add salt, mustard, and pepper to the sauce. Cool and serve with the hot potatoes.
BOILED POTATOES WITH SOYBEANS
Boil 8 potatoes with their skin on. Peel, cut them into pieces, mix with boiled canned soybeans (300-400 grams), 1 onion, cut into pieces and fried, and continue cooking. Sprinkle with parsley or dill greens.

BOILED POTATOES WITH BUTTER AND GREENS
Peel, wash, cover 10 potatoes with hot water and boil. As soon as the water boils, add salt and keep cooking for another 20 minutes until the potatoes get soft. Filter the water and drain the potatoes over low heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter, chopped greens and mix. You can serve sour cream, milk or cottage cheese with it separately.
BOILED POTATOES WITH SOUR CREAM SAUCE AND MUSTARD
Peel and boil 10 potatoes in salty water. Cool and slice them. Set aside. Chop 1 onion and mix it with 1 cup of sour cream and 1 tablespoon of mustard. Mix the sauce thoroughly, add salt and pour it over the potatoes.
HUNGARIAN STYLE POTATOES WITH TOMATO PASTE
Wash, peel and cut 10 potatoes into pieces. Filter the water, add 1,5 cups of tomato sauce and bring to a boil. Before serving add sour cream and salt to taste.
NEW POTATOES WITH BRYNZA
Peel and put 10 potatoes in a pan. Pour them with hot water, salt, bring to a boil and cook over low heat. Filter the water and drain the potatoes over low heat. Put the prepared potatoes on a plate, pour them with 5 tablespoons of melted butter, sprinkle with 4 tablespoons of grated brynza, chopped parsley or dill greens. You can serve the potatoes with kefir or curdled milk separately.
STEAMED POTATOES
Put a colander in a pan and add 3-4 cups of water in it, 10 peeled potatoes either whole or cut into pieces, salt, cover with a lid and bring to a boil. When the water boils, lower the heat and keep cooking over low heat for approximately 25-30 minutes. Serve with butter or sour cream. You can use steamed potatoes for preparing mashed potatoes or cutlets.
POTATOES WITH ONIONS AND MUSHROOMS
Boil 9 peeled potatoes. Set aside. Cook 400 grams of fresh mushrooms until half ready, cut into pieces and fry. Add 1,5 fried in advance onions. Mix the ingredients. Before serving add the fried mushrooms with onions to the potatoes, dress with 5 tablespoons of melted butter, add salt to taste.
POTATOES WITH HERRING SAUCE
Boil 8 potatoes. Set aside. Make the herring sauce separately: chop 2 herrings with 1 onion, mix them with 0,5 cup of sour cream or mayonnaise. You can add 1 teaspoon of mustard to make it spicier. Dress the boiled potatoes with 4 tablespoons of melted butter, sprinkle with chopped parsley or dill greens. Serve the sauce separately.
GRATED POTATOES WITH FRIED ONIONS
Boil 8 peeled potatoes in salty water, mash and grate them, add 1 fried in oil onion, and stir. You can serve this dish with fresh or canned vegetables.
